    The Ferretti Yachts 960 is the largest planing pleasure boat ever built by Ferretti Group. The flagship of the brand results from the collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project, Ferretti Group Engineering, the team of engineers and architects of the Group, and AYT&D (Advanced Yacht Technology & Design), the research center of the Group. With its 29.20 meters of length overall and 23.97 meters of hull length it can be managed as a pleasure boat, even without a professional captain. Ferretti Yachts 960 features an unparalleled livability. It is the first yacht of the brand with the owner cabin located on the main deck and four VIP cabins on the lower deck each equipped , with its own en-suite facility, enormous glazing for natural light and portholes for ventilation. The vessel offers numerous solutions and attributes which usually are reserved for vessels over 100’ including 3 crew cabins of which 1 is exclusively for the captain as well as a separate access to the crew quarters directly from the galley. The flybridge at the stern area are entirely devoted to leisure. The garage door is fitted with cushions, while the bathing platform can be immersed in the water to allow for the launching of the tender in just a matter of minutes from the floodable garage without the need of a davit: a system which has set the benchmark in the industry for a never before seen solution on a vessel of this size…until now. The flagship model of the Ferretti Yachts range will be available with three different engine options, offering a minimum of 2218 hp to 2638 hp, the latter ensuring performance characteristics which make the 960 the quickest vessel in its class by reaching speeds up to 30 knots. The vessel is equipped in the standard version with electro-hydraulic fins with both the zerospeed and the underway features, giving owners an incredibly elevated level of stability to reduce roll and ensure maximum comfort onboard, at anchor and during navigation.

    Ragnar Appelgren (1909-1993) was a cosmetics industrialist and passionate sailor. In 1953 he asked Bjarne Aas to design him a big boat. It was the bigger boat commissioned to Aas to date: a 12 m. for the then new Int. Cruiser-racer rule. The CR rule could had been inspired by the Int. Metre Rule, but more biased towards the blue water sailing, with more freeeboard, more draft, more displacement. As the Metre rule, the C/R boats spot long overhangs that give them a superior elegance compared with any other kind of classic boat. The new boat was built in Fredrikstad, close to the Sweden border, and was the biggest building to date for the Yard. This Yard was owned by Aas himself. He had made a big reputation, before de Second World War, with the design of Six Metres Int., very much as Olin Stephens, and like him Bjarne Aas was always influenced in his designs by the Int. Metre style. He even won an Olimpic medal in Paris in 1924, with a Six. For all these reasons, the Ingeborg, as was named the boat after the name of Mr. Appelgren wife and daughter, spots so beautiful and impressive overhangs. They give her a buoyancy reserve very important in bad weather. Mr. Appelgren sailed with Ingeborg during three years in the North Sea waters, winning many races and cruising with the family. In 1957 he sailed to the Mediterranean and established his base in Palma de Mallorca, where after another three years he sold the boat to Spanish industrialist Manuel Giró Minguella, the famous owner of the Ossa motorbikes. Mr. Giró changed her name to the present Yanira. Yanira, not denying his fame as Ingeborg, continued winning races so much so than once, when she was entering the harbour in Barcelona, she was so hailed: “Salve Yanira! Morituri te salutant”, the Roman Gladiators salute, when condemned to death. Her victories are so many that we will keep in the resumé below just to some of the last period. Today the Yanira is in very good shape. She is a very fast vessel, even in light winds. She has a full set of recent sails, either for modern or classic races. Her present owner gave her a new life with a new teak deck and a new mast, both to the original design. Her engine was also overhauled and there are just a few aesthetic touches that remain to have her ship-shape. Her asking price is reduced to easy the sale and does not reflect at all the cost of the works carried on board or Yanira's real value.     The 52 marks a whole new era in the design of cruising catamarans, as indeed did its predecessor, the famed 500. With its diamond-shaped vertical bows, bevelled hulls, its as if levitated deckhouse and tall rig, the 52 is no ordinary catamaran, but its originality goes a great deal further than just its "outer" appearance, or even its interior layout. This Lagoon is the result of lengthy discussions between the architects at Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prévost (VPLP), the Italian Nauta Design agency and the Lagoon design department. These discussions led us to make some important and sometimes radical choices, while remaining faithful to what we believe in, in terms of elegance, comfort, safety, user friendliness and, it goes without saying, performance under sail. The 52 is now available in 2 versions: FlyBridge or SporTop. 52 : LUXURIOUS AND CONTEMPORARYNoble and luxurious materials, with soft shades for a harmonious interior continuous horizontal and fluent lines give the interior open and generous spaces continuity between exterior and interior life a slender exterior design for a boat with a strong character EXTERIOR: ELEGANCE, COMFORT AND SAFETYThe boat is accessed via open aft transoms, facilitating boarding and disembarking broad sidedecks, with recessed deck hatches the cockpit is level with the saloon, and has an outdoor lounge and sun-lounging area to starboard the fly bridge is reached either by a staircase leading from the cockpit, or by another leading from the deck on the starboard side the steering station can be adjusted to three different positions (starboard, centre or port), giving the skipper perfect visibility under sail or when manoeuvring INTERIORS: COMFORT, SPACE, LIGHT…The saloon encompasses the lounge and dining table to starboard, a large galley in U shape on port side the chart table in the middle, facing out to sea. The “U” galley is equipped with large hot plates, large work space and plenty of storage the circulation in the salon is optimized, between the lounge and the galley all the cabins have large double beds, storage space in keeping with the offshore sailing program of the boat and, of course, an en-suite bathroom with separate showerthe cabins have incomparable natural lighting thanks to the fixed hull windows, together with excellent ventilation thanks to the deck hatches and portholes that open out to the hull-side or to the cockpit
