Descripción

OFF DUTY II is a well updated version of this respected long distance center cockpit cruiser from Moody.   The current owner has updated this boat with expensive gear including new Vacuflush toilets with new plumbing, updated electronics, sails, and canvas.   Additional equipment includes Raymarine color chartploter/radar at the helm, speed/wind/depth instruments, an updated linear drive autopilot, VHF radio and remote command mic and a Graphic repeater at the nav station.

The layout of OFF DUTY II is great for extended cruises and for live-aboard.   In three private staterooms, there is a centerline berth aft, a vee berth with insert forward, over/under bunk beds in the passageway to starboard, and the main salon has a straight settee berth to port and a convertible double settee to starboard.

Some light cosmetic chores remain for the next owner but this boat is reported to be functionally ready for cruising safely and reliably now.  Call today for additional information and an appointment to see OFF DUTY II in person.  Seller is highly motivated to finda  new home for this boat.

Accommodations

Off Duty II has a great layout for extended cruising and for live-aboard use.  There are three private cabins with a large Centerline Island Double berth aft, a large Vee Berth with insert forward, and two bunks in a passageway cabin to starboard.   Adding to the sleeping capacity is a single settee berth to port in the main salon and a convertible stbd settee will make up to an intimate double.   Sleep up to nine (9) family and friends if you want to.

The Fwd Cabin with vee berth has private access to one of two heads.   The Fwd Head is accessible from the main salon as well and has a Vacuflush toilet, tank level indicator, sink vanity, and teak grate.  The Main Salon features a long straight settee to port and a U-shaped settee to stbd which may convert to a berth.  A teak table is in the center and has two leaves which fold out to sit a crowd for dinner.

The L-shaped Galley is to port and convenient to the main salon and cockpit without being in the way.   Two round stainless steel sinks have hot and cold pressure water along with salt and fresh water foot pumps.  A cutting board cover is on one of the sinks.  Two large ice boxes are top load and the aft one has Adler Barbour refrigerator and freezer.  There is a Force 10 two burner, propane stove with oven at the aft of the galley and a Microwave oven under the cockpit overhang.  A waste basket bin is fitted with through counter access.  Stainless steel stove guards and grab rails fitting for cooking offshore.  There is plenty of storage including a sliding locker and separate utensil drawer.

There is a forward facing Navigation Station to stbd and this is where the main electrical panel is located along with instrument repeaters and VHF radio.  Just aft to stbd in the passage to the aft cabin is a private cabin with over/under bunks.

The Aft Stateroom is spacious and includes a seat to stbd, island double berth on center, a vanity  with make-up mirror to port and a TV with Satelite reception.   There are springs under the mattress for added comfort and a full length mirror is mounted to stbd.   In the passageway to port is a walk-through Owner's Head with a bi-fold clear acrylic door that creates a shower stall.  A Vacuflush toilet, sink vanity, and teak grate are installed and there is a large hamper for wet clothes.

The interior is oiled teak throughout with varnished teak and holly sole.   The cushions in the main salon are gorgeous and supple off-white Ultraleather.  Berth cushions are upholstered with a blue velour.   There are ample storage lockers and stowage abounds.   Five overhead opening deck hatches, a number of opening portlights, four cowl vents, a passive vent, two active solar vents and large fixed windows in the main salon area provide plenty of light and an airy feeling below.   Soft Ivory Ultraleather main salon cushions (2010)

Broker Comments and Disclaimer

OFF DUTY II is owned by knowledgeable boaters who have spent a lot of money on important upgrades since they purchased her in 2006.  Upgrades include Vacuflush toilets and new plumbing, electronics, sails, and canvas.  The boat is serviceable today with systems reported working.  With some minor attention to cosmetics this Moody 425 could be ready to take you far and wide.   OFF DUTY II was not in the water summer 2014 and sellers are getting out of sailing so take advantage of their upgrades and call to make an appointment to see this rare center cockpit today.
