Stepping on to the wide hydraulic boarding platform you’ll immediately notice the tender garage, the door of which opens with the touch of a button. Here, an optional 3.3-metre (10.8ft) Brig tender with permanently mounted 20hp, four-stroke outboard can be easily launched or retrieved with the built-in electric winch.

Stepping up through either of the wide stainless steel transom gates and into the expansive cockpit of the Riviera 5400, you’ll appreciate the evolution of the luxury indoor/outdoor, single-level living design for which our Sport Yacht series is both internationally renowned and highly awarded.

A closer inspection of the 11.4m2 (122.7ft2) cockpit confirms the clever lifestyle and storage designs. A large forward-facing transom lounge, with drink holders and storage for the two supplied fenders and four supplied dock lines within its armrests, sits conveniently aft.

The 5400’s curvaceous fiberglass hardtop extends well aft to provide shelter and shade from the extremities, and houses the cockpit’s own electric sliding sunroof to bring extra sunlight and fresh air into the alfresco area when desired.

To port is the wet bar and double barbecue, a refrigerator and ice maker as well as a solid surface bench top with sink and hot and cold water. The L-shaped lounge/dining area to starboard features storage underneath as well as concealed feature lighting, and the teak table lowers to become a daybed.

The entertainment system to the cockpit of the 5400 Sport Yacht comprises two weather-proof speakers controlled via a second zone selection from the premium-quality saloon entertainment system.

There is direct access to the tender garage through a hatch in the teak-laid cockpit floor, as well as hatches with stainless steel lock downs to port and starboard for engineering access. A further hatch forward serves as the main entrance to the engine room.
