Nordhavn has taken what it does best, building long-range luxury expedition yachts, and incorporated all the fishing features and rigging found on tournament sportfishers to create a yacht that can truly go after any fish in the world. An enormous fishing cockpit, dual 60-gallon baitwells, a 35-cubic-foot deep freeze, plentiful gear and tackle storage and all the rod holders and rigging a deep-sea angler could ever want top a long list of fishing features.The N75 EYF is safer in rough weather when sea conditions force a slower running speed, which is always a major downside to the typical small rudders found on sportfishers (the N75 EYF’s standard stabilizers also promise a comfortable ride in rough seas). Additionally, the EYF’s 22 -foot four-inch beam permits a new Nordhavn standard feature: twin engines. A single screw is not an option. The N75 EYF sports Detroit Series 60 diesels and a cruising-speed fuel burn of 12 to 15 gallons per hour – a trickle compared to a typical sportfisher built for nothing but speed with noisy behemoth diesels guzzling 100 to 200 gallons or more per hour. Another heavy advantage over typical sportfishers is there is no weight penalty for all the equipment and furnishings that make life grand. Dive equipment, jet skis, granite countertops, you name it – the N75 EYF’s full displacement hull allows you to load up with everything you need for fishing adventures that last for months, not hours. Like all Nordhavn yachts, the N75 EYF is a truly semi-custom boat. The interior can be designed to match an owner’s tastes and lifestyle.

Following the unparalleled success of the Nordhavn 76 with its sophisticated systems and construction features, PAE’s design, engineering and manufacturing team was ready for a larger vessel and at 86 feet, this Nordhavn represents PAE’s firm entry into the megayacht market. With a 24-foot beam, she is more than impressive at first sight, however her full load displacement of over 400,000 pounds allows her to compare with many vessels well over 100 feet. Building on the experience of hundreds of thousands of ocean crossing miles and applying the “form follows function” rule, this ultimate offshore passagemaker has been designed in an aft wheelhouse configuration. For comfort and visibility at sea, this arrangement cannot be beat and with her long foredeck, tenders up to 20 feet can be accommodated. There is no question the Nordhavn 86 is a large yacht. The first impressions from the outside are of great mass and powerful lines, but it’s the interior volume that has to be experienced to be appreciated.

The distinct styling of the 62 has been a Nordhavn hallmark for nearly twenty years, and the 68 captures the essence of this vessel yet it incorporates the latest thinking in design, systems and technology and packages it all into a beamier, heartier hull. The interior is stunning with modern styling and beautiful teak joiner work. And despite the size advantage, this vessel is just as easily managed by a cruising couple without need for captain and crew. Stepping onto the boat, the massive size of the 21-foot wide expanse can be immediately felt. The 68 carries its beam further aft and has a higher freeboard forward, thus providing more room on the inside. Offered in both an asymmetrical and dual walk-around layout, the huge saloon is an ideal gathering area for when the yacht plays host to larger groups. Meanwhile, cooking for the masses is a snap in the large gourmet galley with such features as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Because the 68 is an aft pilothouse model, the foredeck is open so there are deck hatches for lots of light and ventilation. This is especially noticeable in the full-beam Master Suite and its luxurious head and shower forward. There are full size port lights positioned on either side which show off breathtaking views.
