Why buy a 20 year old boat with a 20 year old engine? Get a boat in excellent shape with a NEW ENGINE! As you know, so important for the longevity of a vessel and your safety. Get a boat that will be operable and trouble free for many years to come!
This boat was purchased in 2004 after the frist owner used it for only one year. The second owner has has this 36 foot Crusing Catalina Yacht since, and it is now up for sale for the first time in 17 years. Owners are selling as they are upgrading to a newer, bigger boat.
Rosebud has always been moored during the season (no dock damage) in Kings Point, NY (11024) and always winterized, covered, and drydocked at Brewer Marina (11542) in the off season. Always very well maintained.
New Engine installed at the end of the 2017 season. Only used 3 ½ seasons ('18, '19, '20 and part of '21). The Nanni N4.38 Engine is 38 hp (a significant upgrade from the 30hp of other Catalinas in this class). Cost was $10,700 and owner has documentation. Absolutely no issue w/ engine since installed – everything working great!

Catalina 36 Mark II
This model was designed by Frank Butler and Gerry Douglas, introduced in 1994 and was produced until 2005. The Mark II uses the same hull design and rig, but has a larger cockpit, different cabin ports, a walk-through transom and a new deck and interior design. The boat has a draft of 5.83 ft (1.78 m) with the standard fin keel and 4.52 ft (1.38 m) with the optional shoal draft wing keel. The boat is fitted with a Universal diesel engine of 35 hp (26 kW). The fuel tank holds 25 U.S. gallons (95 L; 21 imp gal) and the fresh water tank has a capacity of 75 U.S. gallons (280 L; 62 imp gal).
