2008 Lagoon 500 - ONE OWNER

 

This Lagoon 500 has only ONE owner and is fully equipped with everything that you could ask for, from a diving compressor to making diving trips easier too fixed stainless steel life lines that are also extended higher up for even more safety.

Transom has been extended by 1.07m for more stream line sailing and also makes it easier to get on and off of the boat. 

She is fully equipped with Raymarine and Garmin navigation equipment. ( Independently )

All manuals are still onboard!

Based in the Antigua & Barbuda, she is ready to set sail on her new adventure!

 

 

Layout

Owner version – three cabins, salon, kitchen, and stern deck

Salon, kitchen, and stern deck on same level. Navigation station in salon.

Flybridge above salon c/w helm and full navigation. All sailing lines operated from flybridge with electric winches. Anchoring operated from flybridge. Large custom made bimini over flybridge. Bimini over flybridge is walk on from sail bag handling.

Starboard – owners cabin, queen bed at stern, clothes wardrobe, work station, head, lavatory, large shower stall

Port – stern cabin c/w queen bed, lavatory, head and shower; mid section with storage cabinets, one fridge and two freezers; bow cabin c/w queen bed, lavatory, head and shower

Additional Detail - Accommodations and Living Space Layouts

  • Salon, galley and stern deck on the same level. Ample amount of headroom.
  • Number of single berths: 0 (The bow compartments, typically considered single berths have been equipped with shelves for storing spares, sails and extra lines)

Main sheet quick release rope clutch

 

Added improvements for Main Engines:

-      Fresh water flush for each engine

-      Added strainer between sea water pump and engine heat exchanger for catching broken off vanes of sea water pump impellers. Helps in detecting when to change sea water pump impeller and prevents broken rubber vanes plugging heat exchanger channels.

Added improvements to generator set up:

  • Fresh water flush for generator
  • Added strainer between sea water pump and engine heat exchanger for catching broken off vanes of sea water pump. Helps in detecting when to change sea water pump impeller and prevents broken rubber vanes plugging heat exchanger channels.
  • Three-way valve allowing use of drawn up by raw water pump sea water for cooling or forced sea water via deck wash pump.

Overall Hull and Deck Layout Modifications - Safety and Comfort Custom Improvements

 

-      Both hulls have been extended at the sterns by 1.07 m (42 “) to minimize drag.

-      One layer Kevlar and one layer fiberglass have been laid out along centre line underneath of both hulls for improving structural integrity during lifting off the water and storing boat on dry dock.

-      Added second ready-to-deploy anchor c/w windlass, remote windlass control at helm station, 200 feet chain, secured resting place on front crossbeam.

-      Swim ladders on both sterns.

-      Added storage compartment at each stern. One fitted with rack for dive cylinders. Added storage compartment at middle of stern transom beam for spare Fortress anchor and extra shore lines.

-      All four lazarettes in front of boat superstructure have been double fiber glassed for improving torsional stability at bow of hulls.

-      Two bow compartments have been equipped with shelves for better managing boat stores and spares.

-      Stepping platform has been installed at centre of bow cross beam for facilitating work with gennaker, spinnaker and catching up anchor buoys.

-      All lifelines stanchions have been raised by 150 mm (6”).

-      All top lifelines have been replaced with 1” diameter stainless steel pipe.

-      All roof top holding ¾” stainless steel lines have been added to in order to provide holding points while walking around the entire deck.

-      Two 4” stainless steel posts have been installed at stern for holding KVH domes.

-      GPS antenna bar has been installed between the posts for the KVH domes.

-      Davit for lifting and lowering outboard dinghy engine has been installed at stern. It is using an electric winch.

-      Storing pad for outboard dinghy engine(s) has been installed at stern. Accommodates two outboard engines

-      BBQ stand and work table has been installed at stern lifeline top bar.

-      New walk-on bimini installed covering the width of flybridge and fore-and-aft length allowing ease of servicing sail bag and boom resting in designated boom gallows built of teak.

-      Stepping on platform accommodating life raft and providing step on access to bimini top.

-      Fiber glass box behind flybridge bench for storing electric dive compressor.

-      Stainless steel bar for multifunction chartplotters at helm station.

-      Added two folding steps at top of mast (on each side) for resting/securing while changing out or servicing mast top equipment.

-      Front trampoline changed out with new in year 2018.

-      Snag protection in front of propellers

Extra stern bridle cleats on inside of each hull
