I built this yacht back in 2008 because I wanted a second home on the sea. LADISEA was named after the three most
important women in my life - my wife and two daughters. An elegant solution for optimal design and speed together
with a family comfort offering. LADISEA has been with the family through wonderful adventures and experiences.
Most memorable - once crossing the beautiful Norwegian Fjords, exploring the waters of Croatia, Turkey, and Kotor's
beautiful historical bay in Montenegro. Further, the exploration of the autonomous region of San Blas in Panama and
meeting the local aboriginal people and experiencing their culture. Followed by Belize and Cuba – our exploration
into the unknown and diving in the famous Blue Hole and enjoying the lobsters and Santolla crabs of the Caribbean
LADISEA’s unique features of being able to store toys such as sea bobs, tenders, waterski/wakeboarding equipment,
windsurf, paddleboards, water toys, diving equipment, and oxygen refilling allowed us to enjoy every summer trip to
the fullest. The rare attribute of having a sauna on board equally allowed the family to enjoy memorable winter
crossings and exploration with that extra heat during the cold nights and days.
I love LADISEA because she was built to be able to cruise and explore wherever you wish. We have cruised the Caribs,
Mediterranean, Norway and further North. She is a high performance sailing yacht that will reach impressive speeds,
yet with all the comfort of a family cruising yacht. We have always found her to be very well mannered and stable in
anchorages, where we see other yachts rocking aboard, but not LADISEA. Her toy cupboard was important to us and
in this size band, we have not seen other yachts so well equipped. Of course, we all love the sauna!
LADISEA has been a great success and during her lifetime, she has cruised throughout the Mediterranean – Greece,
Turkey, Italy, Spain, South of France, Cyprus, Malta, Montenegro and Croatia. We have also taken her to Northern
Europe sailing in Germany, the Netherlands and of course Norway. We have crossed the Atlantic aboard her and
called at the Canary Islands and Cape Verdes. Once in the Caribbean we cruised the whole island chain as well a
Columbia, Panama, Cuba and Belize. Throughout all these voyages, she has behaved impeccably.
Of course, LADISEA has just completed a refit. As we have been sailing her for 10 years and she has many miles
beneath her keel, we decided that it was time. The navigational equipment was not fully operational so we upgraded
all this, and she was totally checked over and any defects were resolved including work to the rig. We used Swan EMV
for this refit as they are one of Spain’s best shipyards. All the work has a 6-month warranty.
LADISEA was built for our family use and not for charter. Therefore, the main aim was comfort for everyone aboard
when we were on passage. Instead of another sleeping cabin, we opted for the sauna, which also allowed us to have
a bigger main saloon and owners’ stateroom. On deck, we wanted maximum comfort. An example of this is that
instead of two cockpit tables we have one and a foldable sunbed. When this is folded away, you can access the grill
and it is a great place for entertaining. LADISEA has a brand new entertainment system with good internet and sound
both internally and externally. It was also very important to us that our crew were comfortable, they therefore have
great accommodation and a separate access onto the deck.
