2015 Lagoon 380 catamaran in the desirable 3 cabin 2 head owner’s version, recently upgraded with an open checkbook policy. Featuring a new 1100Ah lithium electrical system with DC powered air conditioning (no noisy generator at anchor), new wood cockpit table, countertops and teak cockpit floors as well as the factory hardtop bimini, Code Zero foresail, B&G electronics, dual-way AIS, new cockpit fridge, new upgraded mattress in master, high end fresh/sea water electric flush heads...etc, etc, etc.
The six STRENGTHS of this boat are:
1) owner version 3-cabin is far more desirable,
2) factory hardtop is much better,
3) late model 380s were built with stronger davits that support a console rib,
4) 2021 upgrade to high end lithium electrical system, DC-powered air conditioning system, and BlueAir air purification system at a total cost of around $100k.
5) wood cockpit sole and table,
6) All service and upgrade work has been professionally done.
Each version of the Lagoon 380 over the twenty year run got better. Big enough to do anything and go anywhere, but not too big to ever feel intimidating. Easier to clean than the bigger cats, cheaper to maintain than the bigger cats, this may be the best equipped 380 in the world.
- Factory Hardtop over the cockpit
- Teak cockpit sole (new 2021)
- New cockpit table and Passthru and countertop all new 2021
- Transmit and receive AIS (2021)
- Furling Code Zero
- Top of the line three zone HVAC
- Top of the line BlueAir purification
- All Victron electrical equipment (it's the best)
- 1100Ah of lithium from Lithionics (I believe the only UL listed marine battery manufacturer)
- Three cabin version gives so much more space than four cabin
Deck and Hull Equipment
The Lagoon 380 is the product of many years experience and research and has been very well planned. It has access to engines from the transoms, large cockpit with table and bench seat, rigid walkway on the trampoline, wide side decks. It is distinctly the work of renowned architects, Van Peteghem and Lauriot-Prevost. This boat is innovative and fast, easy to handle and of course very comfortable both at sea and anchor, but above all this catamaran is fun to live aboard!
The interior has plenty of headroom. Lagoon’s trademark large vertical windows let in the light while not letting in the heat. This keeps the salon cool and also allows for great visibility.
She is an owner’s version, 3 cabin/2 head, and has been well taken care of. The master cabin is in the starboard side and the port side has two guest cabins. The aft port cabin is very large.
Her large aft cockpit is perfect for dining or entertaining. The elegant teak cockpit sole (floor) and new wood table, Passthru, and galley countertops make the boat really feel like home. Her large, sliding pass through window from the galley to the outside dining table makes serving your guests a breeze and allows you to enjoy the outdoors from inside.
In through the large glass sliding door is the main salon with a curved settee and large oval dining table. There is storage beneath the settees. The galley is located starboard and aft in the main salon. A very large extra deep primary fridge, a brand new secondary fridge right under the helm station, and a new elegant induction cooktop make for a well designed galley. Plus, there’s already a barbecue mounted to the aft stainless railing.
The navigation station includes a chart table and is located port and aft in the main salon. Above the chart table is the navigation equipment and storage shelf.
Starboard Hull is the Master Hull, comprising of a large aft master cabin with queen sized bed, new mattress (2021), cupboards, and hanging closet. Mid hull library, additional closet and a storage cabinet.
Head/bathroom is forward of that, upgraded in 2021 to an electric flush top of the line Raritan toilet with sea/fresh flush switch. Forward of that is a gigantic separate shower room (also good for the biggest wet locker you can imagine). This is bigger than most shower spaces on 50 foot catamarans. Factory Installed hardtop (this is what you want – dont make the mistake of buying an older 380 w/the aftermarket hardtop that has the exposed ugly tubing). Note that older 380 boats came with soft biminis over the cockpit. Eventually, people started getting retrofit hardtops, but those have exposed stainless tubing, and don’t look very good. The late model 380 factory hardtop is what you want – it looks and works so much better!
Large aft cabin with queen sized bed, mattresses, and hanging closet.
Mid-hull head(bathroom) with electric flush top of the line Raritan toilet with sea water/fresh water switch, and a wet shower.
The forward cabin has a double bed, mattress and hanging closet. Marine flooring in both hulls.
Two awesome dining options - one in the cockpit and one in the salon.
One hugely deep fridge inside and a second new fridge under the helm station.
Super safe induction cooktop works great with the lithium power system.
B&G chartplotter with two small monitor heads
Dual way transmit and receive AIS safety system
Super powerful new in 2021 VHF B&G V60
Two Yanmar 29 hp diesel engines with high output alternators and excellent dc to dc converters.
350 watt solar panel on custom stainless steel bracket
In 2021, a top of the line Mabru three unit air conditioning/heat system was installed, with three control panels plus three Blue Air air purification and filtering air quality systems. The technology to install DC-driven compact air conditioning units, coupled with extremely powerful lithium batteries, all is now available. The old clunky air conditioning/diesel generator systems are now a thing of the past. Lithium-based technology has finally arrived. So in 2021, this elegant system was installed in this Lagoon 380. Works beautifully! Runs all night at anchor with silent clean air conditioning. Solar recharges the batteries during the day.
