The award winning Oyster 625 broke new ground when Oyster launched the first hull in 2010, as she was the first Oyster design to offer the triple seascape windows to the saloon, a feature that has proved so popular that it characterised all our later designs. The standard layout sleeps up to eight in four cabins, three of which have en-suite head/showers, the forepeak can be configured as a crew cabin or cavernous lazarette. We launched twenty-one
625s between 2010 and 2019.

Boarding Pass IV is a late model 625, hull number 17, commissioned for experienced Oyster owners, and specified as for long range bluewater cruising. Conceived to offer luxurious sailing for either family and friends or charter guests, Boarding Pass IV is a versatile and capable yacht, now ready for new adventures.

On deck her sail handling systems were designed for simplicity with hydraulic in-mast furling to her mainsail and hydraulic furling to both the genoa and staysail. This means that the sail plan can be adjusted at the touch of a button from the helm position, making shorthanded sailing a joy. The twin wheel working cockpit is aft of the large guest cockpit separating the sailing and relaxing areas.

Light oak joinery below decks gives an airy and modern feel, where Boarding Pass IV sleeps
eight in four cabins. Well-equipped and beautifully maintained, she represents a rare
opportunity to purchase a late 625, early viewing is recommended.

Oyster 625/17.

Composite construction of Fibre Reinforced Plastics (FRP) and sandwich materials.
Hull moulded using a combination of vinylester and high quality orthotropic polyester resin with the outer topside finish in a white NPG gelcoat.
Laminate material comprises of a combination of E-glass, kevlar and carbon fibre.
Topside laminate has a high-tech, foam-cored, E-glass/carbon sandwich above the waterline for additional strength, stiffness and insulation.
Below the waterline features a monolithic (single-skin) composite laminate. There is an aramid/kevlar layer, reinforced with a web of stringers and floors.

Maximum of eight berths, in four cabins, without using the saloon for sleeping, with three heads and showers.
Interior joinery in vertical American oak, quarter sawn with water based varnish.
Soleboards in veneered teak planking effect with staggered butt joints, flush lifting rings and no grooves throughout, including owner’s stateroom. Custom raised sole margins throughout all cabins to allow for unnatural flooring.
Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grabrails, shadow-gap joints between joinery panels, solid, shaped wood and stainless steel grab handles, solid framed styled doors, with laid veneers and soft-close seals.
Upholstered and padded panels for headboards, seating and berth sides, where appropriate, rolled edge, vinyl-covered mouldings for the saloon deck/coachroof carlin line, warm white inside frames to deck saloon windows, stitched panel detailing to upholstered seat cushions and wide sole margins in solid teak. Interior exposed hull and deck surfaces are lined, principally with fabric-covered ply panels, which are demountable for access.
Headlining vinyl is a warm white fabric, matching deck saloon sides. Hullports are set into GRP liner mouldings. The saloon also uses a darker headlining material on the two main longitudinal panels, the port one flowing over into the galley ceiling. Removable foam backed mast cover and saloon table cover in headlining material.
Insides of upper lockers in heads and galley are in white mica laminate. Lower lockers are white flocoat. Lockers in the saloon and all upper lockers in cabins are timber-lined with removable outboard panels fabric-covered. Hanging lockers are lined with cedarwood ply panels. Lockers are fitted with shelves and fiddles as appropriate. All drawers use metal runners with a soft-close feature, which gives a very smooth operation. Door furniture comes with chrome hinges and handles.

Six Oceanair Skyscreen blinds with integral mosquito mesh are fitted to all overhead deck hatches. All coachroof and hull ports have white Oceanair blinds. For safety, the hullport outboard of the cooker is not fitted with a blind. The deck saloon windows have pull-down Oceanair Skysol blinds
Flyscreens to five Gebo ports in coachroof.
Saloon settees, navigator’s seat and aft cabin seat are in Alcantara. The upholstery style allows for a comfortable, casual look with a ‘double stitched boxed’ design on the seats and backrests.
Aft cabin headboard is in a woven and textured fabric with all other headboards and berth side panels in a woven fabric only.
The cabin berths are made using the standard machine washable Oyster fabric. Mattress covers are fitted with a zippered side opening and rot-resistant vinyl on the underside, profiled for ventilation. All cushion foam is fire retardant and meets CMHR040 requirements.
Sea berths have Dacron lee screens fitted with lanyards to removable eye mounting points.

To port, is a twin guest cabin. Mirror on forward bulkhead adjacent to hanging locker.

Forward of the port twin cabin is a head with shower compartment. This acts as a day head via the forward corridor.

To starboard, forward of the saloon, is a double guest stateroom with one hanging locker and its own head complete with separate shower stall.

Access to the saloon from the companionway is down a set of shaped timber steps, set into a hidden stainless ladder frame. Two oval stainless steel grab handles are fitted either side of the companionway opening and also in the saloon deckhead.
The saloon is extremely light and airy with seven deck saloon windows. Two of the three forward ones can be opened. There are six vertical fixed windows to the hull sides in saloon, that give a seascape vista whilst at anchor and underway.
To port of the main saloon is a comfortable settee with a lift up TV.
The saloon features a folding dining table with oak quarter sawn running fore and aft border and teak inlay. Stainless steel handrail on table in closed position. Storage support leg under saloon seat with bottle stowage in table pedestal. Two director’s chairs provide additional seating.
Settee area to starboard, outboard of which is a locker and a central shelf to the hull-ports.
12 x bottle wine rack and spirit bottle storage in locker to starboard of mast, with LED strip light on micro switch.

The chart area is at the aft starboard end of the saloon. It allows for all instruments to be mounted in the optimum viewing position for ease of reading strategically sited and flush-mounted in a varnish horizontally grained teak fascia. A small support stay is fitted on the chart table lid. There is provision for the stowage of several Admiralty-size, half-folded charts.
A small book shelf is provided for navigational books, almanacs, etc.
