Glasspar, Avalon, 16 foot, Red & White, 1960, in pristine condition. Original condition, unmolested by personal add-ons, plus it has its original Evinrude 40 horse Lark II, and its original Peterson Brothers, Gator, tilt trailer. All of it has been garage stored from 1960 to present. Meaning no UV or water damage, plus there’s no windshield cracking or crazing. Very limited usage throughout its life. This is as good as it gets. The Boat has also been inspected and reconditioned as needed. Engine lower unit rebuilt, including the carb, fuel pump and fuel system so to run on current fuels, not to forget the new cables and battery. Both 6 gallon fuel tanks have been pulled apart, cleaned and reassembled with new materials, hoses and quick disconnects. The tilt trailer no different, the axle bearings were removed, inspected, washed and repacked, and the trailer completely hand sanded and repainted. The lights and wiring were removed and all new wiring and lights installed. New tires have also been installed and a new spare mounted to the trailer. In addition a full new black heavy duty mooring, trailering and storage cover has been custom fitted. The boat has been lake tested with no disappointments, it is reliable, low maintenance and a blast to operate. Everything is turnkey ready for decades more operational fun, and endless enjoyable memories yet to be created. There’s nothing to be done other than gas and go, all night lights, the whiskey compass and speedometer work perfectly, it’s truly a gem that would be almost impossible to find elsewhere. All the original books, brochures, manuals, and paperwork are included. Which will also include the story of how this boat was purchased by a man for his pleasure in 1960, then he shared his love for boating as he raised his son. Sadly Dad has passed, and the son has also passed away, but the boat continued to be respected and stored at their home, in their garage, until about 30 days ago. Last registered in the mid 90’s.
