Fairline Targa 42

Rare Fairline Targa 42 built in 1991 with twin Caterpillar 3208 Diesel engines on shafts.
I purchased this boat from Boats Uk 18 months ago and have carried out a full refurbishment of interior and engines since. Due to an injury and moving house I just have not had the time in the past 6 months to spend finishing it off.

Work carried out so far includes well over £10 k spent on New re desingned canvas covers to maximise rear deck space, Fully retrimmed salon seating and fwd cabin eco leather retrim, upper deck upholstery finished in 2 tone grey sunbrella type waterproof fabric. New windlass switches and solenoids, Replacement search light, new speakers and sound system. All doors have been re sprayed and laquered in grey, new carpets throught, Upper synthetic decking replaced, Led mood lighting with new switches and USB ports, Upper sun blinds replaced, Port hole blinds replaced, Custom wall mirror, Alcantara roof covering the list goes on and now looks up to date and nothing like a 35 yr old boat!
Both engines fully flushed and new coolant, oils filters fuel filters impellars, drive belts replaced, 2 new batteries and isolators, Generator also fully serviced. Diesel fuel flushed and stabiliser added.
All Seacoks replaced with brand new DZP fittings.

I would say its 90% complete and to my knowlege just requires a full undercoat and anti foul its already sanded down. Anodes fitting, 1 trim tab ram replacing, 1 shaft seal replacing, steering bleeding, and some small gel goat blemishes and a good polish she should be good to go. All of these parts and fittings are included and ready to fit all you need is a couple of weekends to get it ready for the season.

I have a full survey that I had carried out when we purchased and have addressed the issues you would expec to find on any 35 yr old boat and receipts for all the parts purchased as outlined above.

The boat is unnamed so ready to be called what you want without any old superstitions on changing boat names.

She is currently in the yard at Essex marina wallasea and can stay there if the new owner would like to keep it there.

Can currently only find one other of these great solidly built boats on shafts on line at present at £79k
