2023 Sea Doo Switch Compact Sport 170hp with matching Karavan single axle trailer

For sale is our 2023 SeaDoo Switch Sport Compact pontoon boat.  We purchased the boat in April 2024 and used it only 4 times last summer, putting only 8.9 hours on the hour meter.  The first question you might ask is why we’re selling it after only using it 4 times.  This requires a bit of thought to fully explain.  My wife was born and raised in Michigan and the only recreational boating she remembers was on a small natural lake near Traverse City where her grandfather built a small cottage in the early 1950’s.  Quite different than where I was born and raised in the Ozarks and first learned to water ski on Bull Shoals Lake behind my parents 21-foot inboard/outboard powered cabin cruiser when I was just 8 years of age.  That was a long time ago when most of the lakes built on White River in Arkansas and Missouri were less than 10 years old and the amount of boat traffic was probably less than ¼ of what is seen today.  Suffice to say the man-made US Army Corps of Engineers Lakes in the Ozarks hardly resemble those small, spring-fed natural lakes in northern Michigan.  What we discovered last year was there has been a massive invasion on our Ozarks lakes by much larger and more powerful boats that make it nearly impossible to simply enjoy a nice, quiet day on the lake.  40+ ft boats with enough horsepower to run in off-shore racing, plus large numbers of boats designed to increase their own wake for the sole purpose of creating a wave capable of simulating the experience of surfing on coastal waters have made it next to impossible to enjoy what we consider recreational boating on the Corps lakes in the Ozarks. 

All this said, we have decided to sell the boat along with all the added aftermarket accessories we purchased shortly after the boat.  For all practical purposes the boat is new, and we’ve kept it in new condition by keeping it clean, covered and securely stored on our property when not on the lake.  It’s been trailered to and from the lake so has never been kept in the water over night.

For any truly interested and committed buyer I would happily offer a test drive on Table Rock Lake which is less than an hour from our home.  The boat and trailer together weigh less than 2,000 lb., therefore  is easily towed behind our Honda Ridgeline or Jeep Wrangler.
