This 2008 North Pacific 39 Pilothouse Trawler is an excellent boat for extended cruising or navigating in the Puget Sound, San Juan/Gulf Islands and Inside Passage British Columbia waters. Inspired by the success of the NP43 and the need for a smaller, more affordable and (40’ Slip friendly) option. It’s been well maintained annually by a professional local service company and cared for extremely well by the owners. This boat has been moored in a covered slip in Anacortes WA. since 2016. Many convenience upgrades have been made to add to the comfort aboard. The large swim platform and side boarding door provide easy boarding from the dock, entering into a spacious salon with a large L-Shaped galley to port. Stepping up to the pilothouse with ample seating for passengers the captain takes command with a large helm seat, full electronics and excellent visibility from the lower helm. Private stateroom forward offers a large head with separate shower great for long stays on board. The spacious fly-bridge allows a 360 degree view when cruising or relaxing at dock or anchor with protected seating beneath a large bimini. Large handrails make moving about the decks safe and secure. Cruising is efficient with the Cummins 230hp engine, aided in maneuverability with bow thrusters. All maintenance is up to date and the boat is ready to cruise. Included with this boat sale will be the 2015 10’ Walker Bay 325 Dinghy w/Console and 20hp Honda outboard motor, freezer and two Delta Kayaks.  The main engine is a 230 HP Cummins QSB 5.9 liter, 6 cylinder turbocharged, raw water aftercooled heavy duty diesel with 160 amp alternator. The main engine has a total of 2207 operating hours at the time of this listing. Complete engine controls including fuel totalizers are provided at both helm stations. The engine is controlled with Morse dual station lever controls. The generator is a Northern Lights 5KW. To date the generator has only 847 hours of operation on the clock. In addition to the generator, an upgraded Magna 2000 Sine Magnum charger/inverter is installed as well. Shore power connections are fitted at the stern for easy hook up. The engine room equipment includes an oil change pump and a fuel transfer pump. The engine floor is aluminum diamond plate. Two fiberglass fuel tanks of 150 gallons each are fitted. The engine room has four lights. The four blade propeller is mounted on a stainless steel prop shaft running through a PYI dripless shaft seal. Steering from both control stations is by Hynautic dual station hydraulic steering. The hull length is described as 39' but the overall length is 41'3" or 40' with the anchor removed. This is a sedan style pilothouse with the salon aft, raised pilothouse and single forward master's suite. There is no wood on the outside of the yacht, only stainless steel and fiberglass. Exterior maintenance is minimal and durability is maximum. The hull mold of the 39 was made from the mold for the well known and respected NP 43 which has proven to be very seaworthy. The hull is a deep V with the aft end of the hull rising into a hard chine with the flat back end and deep keel. The hard chines help reduce the roll and the deep V eliminates any snap roll that could otherwise occur with hard chines. This hull is very desirable for coastal cruising because of its superb initial stability. The hull is a solid fiberglass hull about 1/2" thick on the sides and approximately 7/8" thick at the waterline and lower. there is no coring. A vinylester resin, as opposed to a cheaper polyester resin, is used in the outer layers of the hull. This resin helps to reduce the chance that blisters will form. Below the waterline is an epoxy barrier making blistering even less likely. Reinforcement is added with molded FRP grid (hollow stringers) bonded throughout the hull bottom. The superstructure is made of fiberglass with structural coring as required (Nida coring on decks-this is a polypropylene honeycomb that is impervious to moisture). The hull and superstructure are formed in two pieces and are joined with epoxy and screwed through, forming a strong bond that lasts. The factory uses a time consuming, hand-laid method of forming all the fiberglass that results in a strong, quality finished product that lasts. Tankage includes two 150 gallon fuel tanks for a total capacity of 300 gallons, a single 200 gallon water tank and a 30 gallon holding tank with a macerator.
