¡Crucero de agua azul probado!

This boat needs some TLC! However it can be brought back to the intended beauty characteristic of these fine vessels. She is essentially an estate sale so the best offer made will be seriously considered.
Some background:
The Robert Harris designed Vancouver 36 is a no-compromise ocean cruiser. The original review in the March 1979 issue of Yachting Magazine correctly describes her as a vessel designed for the high seas and for living aboard. Just like the Bob Harris designed Tayana 42, she is rugged and capable and designed for sailors who want to cross oceans and travel the world. She's got heavy displacement of 18,000 lbs and a lead ballast of 4700 lbs of lead for a displacement to length ratio of 396, heavy but not too heavy.
The construction is hefty fiberglass with lead ballast encased in the full keel with a large skeg hung rudder. She also has a smallish ocean cockpit, Her stout cutter rig, and a surprisingly high sail area to displacement ratio of 15.96, makes her a fast sailor on those long ocean tacks. And the sleepers will enjoy fine sea berths underway. She's designed for two or three sailors to comfortably cross oceans.
Great berths and full bathroom as the head for a vessel this size with a separate shower! The galley is fabulous underway or at anchor. The head room of 6'4" makes me wonder just how tall Bob Harris is. Berths and storage make her a good choice for cruising.
With regard to sailing characteristics, she kicks up her heels in 8-12 knots making 6 knots to windward in a 10 knot breeze. Not bad!
Confidante is a fine choice for the sailor with dreams of sailing away. She's designed and built for cruising whether for a week on the Chesapeake or a season in the Bahamas, or as far as you want to go.

Accommodations
The Vancouver 36 is a spacious and comfortable vessel whether sailing, at anchor, or at the dock. Start with 6'4" of head room. Not many sailing vessels can accommodate tall sailors. The interior is roomy and pleasing with a wonderful modern balance of white formica and very nice mahogany trim. There's enough wood to make your feel that you are on a nice traditional vessel while there's light and easy to clean surfaces. There's a large L dinnette to port with storage under it as well as behind the cushions. A lee cloth makes this a comfy sea berth. Above there are plenty if cabinets and shelves. The dinning table is solid mahogany. Adjacent to starboard there is a single settee with lee cloth that pulls out to make a double berth. Just aft of the salon area the galley to port is very workable and the dedicated nav station to starboard facing forward is full sizeed with an opening chart table. As for the bedroom, you have a very nice forward V double berth and a centerline head with a new marine toilet, separate shower, vanity and sink. Overall, you have tremendous space for a 36' vessel. Forward of the V is the chain locker in the forepeake and a large sail locker.
Hot and cold pressure water
Volvo 17 hp
Stainless steel wire standing rigging
Keel stepped, aluminum mast
solid construction of a modified full keel and skeg hung rudder and build on that idea with a well thought out cutter rig and carefully designed deck layout.
